How do they work?
Wrinkle relaxing injections are used to prevent the ageing process by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It achieves this by blocking the release of acetylcholine, which prevents the communication between the nerve impulse and the muscles, thus not allowing the muscles to contract after they have been injected. When do they take effect and how long do they last?
Wrinkle relaxing relaxing injections are one of the fastest working, safe and effective non-surgical anti-wrinkle treatments available. They start to take effect around 4-7 days post injection and can take up to 3 weeks to reach its full potential. Effects last for up to 3-4 months but this may vary depending on lifestyle factors and age.
When to consider anti-wrinkle treatments?
The best time to consider having wrinkle relaxing treatment is when animating lines start to appear at rest. Often this is between the ages of 30-40 years, although, this may vary from person to person. Treatment can be carried out on an older ageing face, however, results will often be more subtle.
Aftercare
Here at Drops of Youth Aesthetics, we recommend a follow up review at approximately 2-3 weeks to evaluate the effect of the treatment and to ensure we perfect the results you desire. Lip Augmentation
The natural ageing process causes our lips to get thinner and loose definition. This can be particularly a problem for our upper lip.
What does it involve?
Lip enhancement is achieved by injecting high quality HA filler into the body of the lips and sometimes the lip border, until the desired shape and volume is achieved. All dermal fillers we use to treat the lip, come with local anaesthetic, Lidocaine, included, to ensure a more comfortable treatment experience. Topical anaesthetic is also applied to lips before treatment to aid comfort of the procedure.
When to they take effect and how long do they last?
Injectable Results are noticeable immediately. However, injections may often cause trauma in the lips as they a particularly vascularised structure. This may lead to redness, swelling and bruising. Therefore, best results are usually seen after 2 weeks, when the filler has integrated in to the tissues and any trauma has resolved. Lip swelling should reduce within 2-3 days and be gone completely within 2 weeks.
HA lip fillers have varying lifespan and can typically last between 9-18 months depending on the type of filler used.
When can I consider lip fillers?

This is achieved by replacing the collagen lost due to the natural ageing process or skin damage. Premium high-quality dermal fillers such as Teoxane and Juvaderm are used, producing natural long lasting effects. They are injected in small controlled doses under the surface of the skin in the area to be treated. All dermal fillers we use include the local anaesthetic, Lidocaine, to allow a more comfortable treatment experience.
